booksero

Switching to booksero

Move your salon to booksero — with your whole client base

Changing systems doesn’t mean losing your data. Booksero’s smart import loads your client base from any program in minutes — no IT help, no retyping, no duplicates.

How it works — 4 steps

1

Export your base

From your current system — to an XLSX or CSV file.

2

Upload the file

Booksero recognizes the columns itself: phones, e-mails, dates, groups — each marked "detected automatically".

3

Confirm the mapping

If needed, fix a single column with one dropdown.

4

Preview and import

You see the numbers and sample rows first, then you click Import. At the end you get a full report.

What carries over

  • First and last name, phone numbers, e-mail, gender.
  • Birthday and name-day dates, address, notes.
  • Card number, balance, loyalty points.
  • Marketing consents — in line with GDPR.
  • Client groups — created automatically.
VersumFrom Versum additionally: active vouchers and invitations — via a separate import from the "Sold vouchers" report (redeemable with the same numbers as your physical Versum gift cards).
What we don’t transfer: visit history, payments and inventory stay in your old system. We say it upfront — no fine print.

Which system are you coming from?

Booksy

Export your client list to an XLSX or CSV file following Booksy’s help pages and upload it to booksero — the column layout is detected automatically.

Versum

Export your client base to XLSX/CSV — booksero recognizes the file layout. You can additionally transfer active vouchers and invitations (import from the "Sold vouchers" report).

Fresha

Export your client list to XLSX/CSV following the system’s help pages. Column detection adapts to the file layout.

Calendesk

Export your client list to XLSX/CSV following the system’s help pages. Column detection adapts to the file layout.

Bookero

Export your client list to XLSX/CSV following the system’s help pages. Column detection adapts to the file layout.

Estetify

Export your client list to XLSX/CSV following the system’s help pages. Column detection adapts to the file layout.

Another system / your own Excel

Any program or a plain spreadsheet — all you need is XLSX or CSV with column headers. Save your mapping as a template for next time.

Trust & security

  • Column detection runs locally inside booksero — the file is never sent to any external service.
  • Consents: no marketing consent in the file = marketing automatically blocked.
  • Re-importing fills in gaps — it never overwrites and never duplicates.
  • Proven in practice on a base of 20,000 clients.

Switching FAQ

How long does the transfer take?

Usually a few minutes. Analyzing a file with 20,000 clients takes under a second; saving takes up to 2 minutes.

Do I need IT help?

No. You upload the file, booksero detects the columns, you confirm. For an unusual file you adjust the mapping with a dropdown.

What if my system isn’t on the list?

Choose "Another system" and upload an XLSX/CSV file — column detection works for any layout. You can save your mapping as a template for the future.

Will visits and history transfer?

No — we transfer the client base (plus active vouchers and invitations from Versum). Visit and payment history stays in the old system.

Can I upload the file more than once?

Yes, safely — re-importing never creates duplicates; it only fills in missing data.

What about GDPR consents?

Marketing consents carry over from the file; if a client had no consent, booksero automatically blocks marketing to them.

Is my data safe?

The file is processed entirely inside booksero and is never sent or stored anywhere outside your account.

I have an old XLS file — what now?

Open it in Excel and save it as XLSX. The wizard will tell you the same.

Your client base is ready to move.
